At long last, it is finally here (not that it’s been that long, considering we only announced the show for the first time on Sunday, December 4th, but it felt like ages to us.)
In the inaugural episode of The Culturocity Report, we first visit OKC’s Plaza Mayor (formerly known as Crossroads Mall) where Spunk Adams and crew perform at Jazz in the Mall. Next, we head over to the Civic Center Music Hall CitySpace Theatre to talk with playwright La’Charles Purvey, director Callison Coburn and the cast of Purvey’s upcoming stage play Beyond the Stratosphere. Then it’s on to Quail Springs Mall where we chat with Rozie Turner IV at his new establishment, The Royal Tonsor Hair Studios, the first Black-owned barber shop and salon in the mall. Finally, we move on up to the east side to everyone’s favorite hangout, Ice Event Center & Grill, for Dope Poetry, hosted by J. Wiggins and Anthony Crawford.
Without further ado, here it is. Enjoy, and SHARE!
